Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty in Riverton, Salt Lake City

As the focal point of your profile, the nose can draw plenty of attention. As such, you’ll likely want your nose to be in harmony with the rest of your face. While a rhinoplasty, a surgical alteration of the nose’s shape and structure, is a fantastic option, it is also a life-changing decision.

Fortunately, for those concerned about the aesthetics of their nose who aren’t ready for surgical intervention, non-surgical rhinoplasty is a highly effective and satisfying alternative. This procedure brings the nose into a better balance with other facial features, similar to a surgical rhinoplasty, without the subsequent risks or downtime. At the Ear, Nose, and Throat Centre of Utah, Dr. Derrick Gale has helped countless patients achieve a more aesthetically pleasing nose via non-surgical rhinoplasty.

What is a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, also known as the liquid nose job or even a ‘fifteen-minute nose job,’ is a quick and effective procedure that alters the nose’s shape and appearance using hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers.

These fillers are injected into specific nasal regions to add volume and contour to these areas. Depending on the filler type, the nose’s shape will be altered for around six months, at which time the filler will begin to dissolve and return the nose back to its normal position.

How Does It Work?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty works by adding volume to specific areas and balancing the nose’s symmetry and aesthetic appearance. Dr. Gale will inject the gel-like HA product beneath the skin, where it will settle and modify the shape of your nose.

How Can a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Change My Nose?

The procedure can target all areas of the nose, including the bridge, tip, and sides.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a great temporary and non-invasive solution if you wish to:

  • Achieve a more symmetrical, balanced, and aesthetically pleasing nose
  • Smooth over bumps in your nose
  • Enhance the prominence of the tip of your nose
  • Lift the tip of your nose
  • Make the nose more defined
  • Leve out the bridge of the nose

If you are concerned about an unusually large nose or airway problems, non-surgical rhinoplasty won’t do the trick. You’ll most likely need a surgical rhinoplasty for these issues.

What Can I Expect Before, During, and After my Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

When performed by an expert facial plastic surgeon with in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy, non-surgical rhinoplasty is a relatively straight forward procedure. Because of his extensive training, steady hand, and aesthetic eye, Dr. Gale provides some of the very best non-surgical rhinoplasty results in the Salt Lake City area.

Nonetheless, patients should prepare themselves adequately so they can enjoy maximum results as quickly as possible.

To prepare for your non-surgical rhinoplasty, you should mainly focus on living a healthy lifestyle with plenty of exercise, sleep, and proper nutrition. This puts your body and skin in great form to adapt to the newly introduced filler material. You should also plan a slightly less hectic schedule for one or two days following the treatment, just to give the product plenty of time to settle into its intended areas.

The non-surgical rhinoplasty is called a “fifteen-minute nose job” for a reason. Because of its convenience, many patients find it possible to get the procedure done on lunch break and then return to work straight after.

To begin the treatment, you will lie on your back. Depending on your preference, Dr. Gale can apply a numbing cream to anesthetize the areas to be injected. Then, according to your desired aesthetics, Dr. Gale will administer filler into different spots to volumize and contour your nose.

After your treatment, you will be able to leave the clinic and drive yourself to wherever you need to go.  We recommend that patients abstain from intense physical exercise and excessive sweating for one or two days after the injections.

Although many patients love the fact that they can just resume their regular schedules straight after treatment, you can achieve the best and most enduring results by giving the product a chance to settle and take shape. Dr. Gale will give you a list of recovery instructions that will help guide you through the best aftercare practices.

Most of the swelling from a rhinoplasty procedure will go down within the first few weeks. It may take many months before the final shape of your nose reveals itself. As you recover, you will continue to meet with Doctor Gale. If there are any issues of concern, you can bring them up with him during this time.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty FAQs

Two of the main factors that draw people towards non-surgical rhinoplasty are the stunning results and lack of downtime.

You don’t need to recover from the procedure at all – just allow the filler a couple of days to settle correctly before running a marathon and sweating bucket loads. Otherwise, you can resume your full schedule straight after the treatment.

Absolutely yes. Patients can drive themselves away from the clinic and to the airport if necessary.

This is a critical question to ask. While the procedure is straight forward for a trained, respected, and trusted plastic surgeon, people who don’t appreciate and understand needling and introducing material to the facial structure can cause significant damage with non-surgical rhinoplasties.

Firstly, if the product is introduced to the wrong area of the nose, it can cut off blood supply to that region, which leads to tissue death. This arises by blocking “end arteries,” which are responsible for supplying any given area of the body with oxygenated blood. If these become blocked, the skin of the nose and the affected area may begin to die, and even cause retina damage leading to blindness.

Rest assured, these complications only arise when an untrained, incompetent practitioner performs the procedure. As such, it falls to you, the patient, to make a correctly informed choice when selecting your doctor to perform any treatment. Dr. Gale is fully transparent with his training, qualifications, and ability to successfully perform this procedure.
